Love Where You Live
Two Ways to Renovate With Rowe

Some Ridgefield homeowners want to work with us through every stage: design, build and finish. Others come to us with an architect's plans and need a builder who will execute them precisely. We've built our project management around both.

Concierge Renovation

For homeowners who want a relaxed, well-managed experience

We work with you through design, build and finish, with one team accountable for every stage. You make the decisions that matter, and we manage everything around them.

GC Partnership

For homeowners, architects and designers leading the design

You or your design team own the vision. We build it accurately, protect the budget and keep everyone informed.

One Rowe client said Connor was the only contractor they interviewed "undaunted by the highly detailed architectural plans and copious construction notes."

Ridgefield has one of the widest ranges of houses in Fairfield County: 18th-century homes in the village, capes and ranches from the 1950s and '60s, and large colonials built through the 1990s on wooded lots. We remodel all of them.

Local Knowledge
What to Know Before Renovating in Ridgefield

In the Main Street Historic District

Homes in Ridgefield Historic District No. 1 need a Certificate of Appropriateness from the Historic District Commission before a building permit is issued, for any exterior change visible from a public street. Interior remodeling and paint color are not reviewed. Applications must be filed at least ten days before the monthly meeting, the Commission must act within 65 days, and approvals are valid for one year. We prepare the application and attend the hearing with you.

On Septic

Much of Ridgefield outside the village uses private wells and septic. Adding a bedroom, building an addition, or adding a pool or large deck requires health department sign-off that there is still room on the lot for a replacement system. A finished basement can count as a bedroom. We check the property's health file during the site visit.

Ridgefield Neighborhoods We Serve

Yes. We remodel single bathrooms and kitchens as well as build additions and whole-house renovations.
